Longwho?

Microsoft today announced that Longhorn will be offically called Windows Vista. The only thing I can think of is: who cares? It’s a pretentious name, for software that is getting less interesting the more they talk about it.

I can see many people just calling this Windows 6. (Win3, Win3.1, Win95 (4), Win98 (4.x), WinMe (4.x2), and Win2000/XP).

    Agh, I hate MS. I hate Windows. But here I am, using Xp. Not quite techie enough to use another free option, not rich enough to a mac….

    Macs are really not all that expensive; get a 20″ iMac (bare bones) and buy $200 worth of 2 paired 1GB sticks of RAM. A great computer for $2000

    You’re obviously living in a different world to me when you say $2000 (around £1200) is not expensive…

    for a cheap mac I’m more likely to go for an upgraded Mac Mini, but that is still not cheap.
