Sketchup is one of the nicest, and simplest, ways to model something - especially if that something is non-organic. I’ve used it, on and off, for a while now; so it was with a smile that I noticed that Google now is providing a free version of Sketchup. It’s not quite the same as the full pro version, but its a great package and you all should check it out - model your neighbourhood in Google Earth!
The ammount of if speculation in technology articles right now is hilarious. Especially if the article involves either Apple or Microsoft. If both are there… well, it’s not pretty.

Ever searched for that certain someone? My girlfriends friend Daniel, told by a psychic that he would settle down with a guy named Eric, has taken up that quest - and has created a website to get their attention.
Add to that a sticker campaign, and general application process to become his boyfriend and you have one of the best personal ads ever.
Not only is it original, it’s also pretty funny. If I was gay, and called Eric, I’d apply.
sidenote: he totally needs to sell t-shirts, I’d buy one.
It’s a sad reflection on modern sci-fi that this Got Milk? funded website about an Alien race in need of the white elixir looks better, and is more coherent than, almost all recent movies and TV shows. Oh well. Still, it is really well put together, and pretty entertaining in places.
Well, they will, and sort of do. Apple is releasing “BootCamp“, which is basically a dual-boot loader for Intel based Macs. Something that people have been crying out for for years. Wired has a nice write up about it, but the offical page tells you all you need to know. Looks like I might be able to get a Mac when I next buy hardware…
